<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-type air conditioner which can continue air conditioning operation even if a power source of a part of an indoor unit is shut off, in the multi-type air conditioner in which an outdoor unit and a plurality of indoor units are connected through an identical refrigerant piping and a communication line and which is configured with AC power sources of different systems. <P>SOLUTION: An indoor unit 2 detects power shutoff by monitoring the voltage of an AC power source 4 of own system, transmits a power source shutoff signal to an outdoor unit 1 within a time when a controllable power remains. Meanwhile, the outdoor unit 1 which receives the power source shutoff signal switches a communication/power source switching relay 10 to an outdoor power source portion 15 side for a duration of 30 seconds only, after transmitting a communication stop signal to each indoor unit, starts power supply to the indoor unit whose power is shut off. Upon receiving the temporary power supply from the outdoor unit 1, the indoor unit whose power is shut off controls an electronic expansion valve to be a predetermined valve opening position, according to the operation mode before the power shutoff. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
