<p>Porous panels made of particles 1-15, pref. 2-6 mm. across, bound together by a film of resin. 0.1-1, pref. 0.5 mm. thick or opt. by local surface fusion if the particles are resinous. The particles may be mineral or plastic, including foamed particles. The porous layer may be supported on a (perforated) layer which may be rigid or flexible, dense or expanded. Claims panels of particles of cellulose acetobutyrate, polyamides, polycarbonates, polyvinylhalides/acetates, polyolefins, polyesters. polyalkylmethacrylates, pheno- or amino-plasts, epoxides or polyurethanes bound by adhesives based on either thermoplastic or the thermosetting members of the preceding group. For covering tennis courts, sports grounds etc. Offers a desirable combination of permeability, resilience, flatness, strength and wear resistance as panels typically 2 m. wide, 3m. long and about 3 cm.
