A method for treating musical instruments is provided. The method applies suitable acoustic energy through the surrounding medium (e.g., air) without direct contact between the instrument and the acoustic source so as to achieve a more desirable response and performance form the musical instrument. In some embodiments, the instrument is properly supported and positioned with respect to an audio source, which audio source is driven with a suitable tone or sequence or electrical driving signal, which audio source then provides the needed sound for the needed duration and cycle to achieve the transformation in the instrument. |
