The vehicle has a removable energy absorbing element (1) arranged in an outer side of vehicle interior space and comprising a limiting structure (4) for limiting deployment movement and/or spatial expansion of the energy absorbing element in an unfolded state. The energy absorbing element comprises a metal and/or plastic hollow body. The limiting structure is designed as a net, a straining strap, surface elements (4.1, 4.2) and/or a stabilization ring. The energy absorbing element is arranged in a rear part and/or a bumper region of the vehicle.
