The X-Ray image viewer has a planar light source that is arranged at a predetermined distance from a curve-shaped presenting surface so as to transmit white light towards the presenting surface. The planar light source is provided with several LEDs which are formed of organic semiconductor material or inorganic semiconductor material. The LEDs of the planar light source are protected by a protecting layer.
