摘要 PURPOSE: A water soluble conjugated polymer FRET system using a solvent is provided to improve optical property and solubility of polymers and enhance DNA sensitivity. CONSTITUTION: An FRET(Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer) system contains fluorescent molecules conjugated to nucleic acids, as a fluorescence receptor and cation conjugated polymersas a fluorescence donor. The nucleic acid is single stranded DNA or PNA. The fluorescence molecule is fluorescence dye, semiconductor nanocrystal, or green fluorescent protein. The fluorescence dye is fluoresein. The cationic conjugated polymers are polyfluorene copolymers. The polyfluorene copolymer is poly(9,9'-bis(6-N,N,N-trimethylammonium hexyl)fluorene-alt-1,4-(2,5-bis(6-N,N,N-trimethyl ammonium hexyloxy)phenylene))tetrabromide or poly(9,9'-bis(6-N,N,N-trimethylammonium hexyl)fluorene-alt-phenylene)dibromide.
