<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To intercepting leakage light from a light guide plate to prevent quality deterioration. <P>SOLUTION: A backlight 24 comprises: a wiring board 28 mounting a light source 26 thereon; a light guide plate 30 for receiving light of the light source 26 from an end surface and emitting the light from a front surface 32; a light shield adhesive sheet 52 for sticking the wiring board 28 on an end part of the front surface 32 of the light guide plate 30; and a light diffusion sheet 38 superimposed on the front surface 32 of the light guide plate 30. The front surface 32 of the light guide plate 30 includes an effective area 34 as a surface light source, and a light entering area 36 from the end surface receiving light to the effective area 34. The wiring board 28 and the light shield adhesive sheet 52 have parts positioned in the light entering area 36. The light diffusion sheet 38 is disposed from the effective area 34 to the light entering area 36 and superimposed on at least the light shield adhesive sheet 52 in the light entering area 36. The light entering area 36 is covered with the light diffusion sheet 38 without a gap on a side closer to the effective area 34 than the light shield adhesive sheet 52. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
