<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system of demand control based on the power factor. <P>SOLUTION: An embodiment of the method comprises receiving power factor information associated with a location in an electrical system and detecting a change in the power factor information associated with the location in the electrical system over time. The method further comprises sending a signal to one or more electrical apparatuses (102) in response to the change in the power factor information.
