<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified cross-section polyester core-sheath conjugate fiber that is good in spinnability and processability and has an excellent thermal insulation property when made into a fabric. <P>SOLUTION: The modified cross-section polyester core-sheath conjugate fiber includes a polymer (A) constituting the core portion 2 and a polymer (B) constituting the sheath portion 1 at a mass ratio (A/B) of 80/20 to 20/80. The polymer (A) is a polyester-based resin and the polymer (B) is a polyester-based resin including silica that has an average secondary particle diameter of 0.05-3.0 μm and in which 10 vol.% or less has a secondary particle diameter of 5 μm or more. A single fiber constituting the modified core-sheath conjugate fiber has a multi-lobar cross-sectional shape having three to six projection parts. The core portion has a shape in which projection parts b and narrow grooves c which are continuously formed in a fiber length direction are alternately arranged and the number of the projection parts b of the core portion is 5 to 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
