The operating method involves impinging a transmitting coil system (5) with high frequency transmission pulse, such that atom nucleus of a predetermined atom nucleus-type inspection object is excited by the high frequency transmission pulse for emitting magnetic resonance signals. The transmitting coil system acts on an inspection volume (2). A gradient magnetic system (3) is impinged with the high frequency transmission pulse with gradient currents during the impinging of the inspection volume. The gradient currents and the high-frequency transmission pulses are complimentary to each other. An independent claim is included for a software processable by a control unit.
