The method involves supplying power (S1) to an energy converter (1), when the energy converter is supplied with mechanical energy from a wind-power plant or a hydroelectric power plant. Heat energy is exchanged (S2) between the energy converter and an energy storage unit (2) at two different time intervals such that the electrical power is supplied (S3) by the energy converter. Heat energy is supplied as a temperature controlled fluid stream by the energy converter, where the heat energy is received (S10) by the energy converter from its environment. The energy storage unit is designed as a heat storage unit and as a cold storage unit such as storage battery. The energy converter is designed as a heat pump, thermal power plant, cooling machine, cooling power plant, stirling engine, stirling cooler, cryogenic motor, cool air motor, gas liquefaction plant, gas turbine system, thermoelectric heat pump or thermoelectric generator. An independent claim is also included for an electrical power supplying device.
