The label has a web (10) including a tear line (14) and partially or completely coated with an adhesive (13). Projecting structural elements (11, 12) i.e. three-dimensional plastic mold parts, are arranged on the web such that the structural elements are inwardly aligned during attaching the label to a glass ampoule. The structural elements partially lie in an area of a predetermined breaking point. The structural elements include finger-shaped elements that are engaged to each other. The structural elements are made of color material. Protective elements are arranged on the web. The structural elements and an identification mark are present on both sides of the web. One of the protective elements is arranged at both parts of the ampoule in an open condition. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an ampoule protective label.
