The roller (12,14,18,23,24,26,27) has a lateral surface (37), which has an outer circumference line considered in a cross section. The outer circumference line is deviated from a circle with projections (33) in a circumferential direction by counter bore (32). The projections are formed at a distance from each other. The roller has a roller base body (34), on which the multiple elements (36) are fixed on an outer circumference in a non-destructively detachable manner in the circumferential direction. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a rolling set for a roller; and (2) a roller printing machine with a printing unit.
