<p>A low-cost hurricane and earthquake resistant house structure (10, 10', 10") includes a rounded shape external wall (12) constructed of a plurality of circumferentially adjacent wall segments (13), each secured to an adjacent structural vertical stud (14) secured to the ground (18) via a shock absorber (16). Each wall segment (13) includes a plurality of blocks (24, 24') located and secured on top of one another. A foundation groove (22) receives at least a portion of a lowest block (24, 24') of each wall segment (13) therein, and spaced from inside foundation walls. An aerodynamic roof (34, 34', 34") is secured to the vertical studs (14, 14'), and a floor (40) is mounted on shock absorbers (42) on the ground (18) and connected to the wall (12) with a flexible material (46).</p> |
