<p>The present invention relates to a polymer material comprising a polymer and an organically modified sheet silicate dispersed in the polymer. In the polymer material, the total content of alkali metal and/or alkaline earth metal cations is 1 ppm. It further relates to the use thereof as an electret material and to an electromechanical transducer comprising such a polymer material.</p>
