MEASUREMENT DEVICE AND METHOD FOR COUNTING QUANTITY OF STEEL PLATES

PURPOSE: A device and a method for measuring the number of steel materials are provided to measure changes in a distance between the steel materials and a sensor caused by the vertical movement of the sensor using a control device and to measure the number of each steel material automatically, rapidly, and accurately. CONSTITUTION: A device for measuring the number of steel materials comprises a displacement sensor(10) and a control device(20). The displacement sensor senses a distance to a side portion of the stacked steel materials while moving up and down. The control device calculates the number of the steel materials based on a value measured by the displacement sensor. The control device calculates the number of sections that the distance between the displacement sensor and the side portion of the steel material is changed, thereby outputting the number of the steel materials.
