The system (4) has a bar (18) pivotally mounted on a rod (8) around an axis parallel to a control axis in a manner to glide in a glide plane perpendicular to the control axis. The control axis is perpendicular to an actuation axis defined by an armature (5), and controls a position of a brake. The bar is connected to a lever (12) for controlling movement of the lever, where the lever is movable with respect to the armature in a plane perpendicular to the actuation axis. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a caster braking system comprising a caster associated with a brake, where a rotation axis of the caster is parallel to the plane of the lever (2) a bed comprising a pilot wheel system mounted between a base and a sub-base. |
