摘要 PURPOSE: A control method of a motor driven power steering apparatus is provided to prevent an accident caused by a self steer by changing a system into a safety mode when a control direction of inputted steering torque generates an error in order to generate assist force in the motor driven power steering apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A control method of a motor driven power steering apparatus comprises steps(S10,S12,S14) of inputting steering state into a steering control unit; a step(S16) of calculating torque difference from set time according to steering state; a step of changing a system into a safety mode when the torque difference is over a pretended value; a step(S20) of calculating holding force when the torque difference is below the pretended value; and a step(S22) of driving the motor of deceleration apparatus with the holding force.
