Monoazo dyes for completely synthetic fibres

New monoazo dyes which are free from sulphonic acid groups, are prepared by diazotising an amine D-NH2 and coupling with (I) at aromatic-carbocylic or aromatic-heterocyclic residue, R1 and R2 are (substituted) alkyl groups, X is halogen, a (substituted) alkoxy group or -WR3R4 where R3 and R4 are H or (substituted) alkyl groups, and Y is a (substituted) alkoxy group, or -NR3R4. - The new water-insoluble dyes are used for dyeing and printing completely synthetic fibres, such as polyamides, cellulose esters and polyesters.
