A device 1 is provided for controlling functions of electronic devices of a vehicle such as a radio, air conditioner and/or communication system with email and a mobile radio system having symbols 20M, 20T associated therewith. The device 1 may also provide a user interface for a navigation system. The device 1 typically comprises a steering wheel 2, having a front side V and a back side (R see fig2). The device 1 has an input device (11 see fig 2) for generating control signals 13, a display device 10, for the graphical representation of converted control signals in displays (14 see fig 5). The input device 11 is arranged on the back side R of the steering device 2 and the display device 10 is arranged on the front side V. A second rear input device (17 see fig4) and further display devices 16, 19 may be provided. The invention is aimed at least at being intuitive to use. |
