PURPOSE: A parking management system and a method thereof are provided to reduce construction and maintenance costs of a whole parking management system. CONSTITUTION: A parking control system(100) manages vehicles and carries out a charge calculation function. A parking guidance system(200) indicates real time parking related information through a parking display unit. An illumination control system(300) comprises a lamp, multiple motion detection sensors, an illumination control part, multiple infrared ray sensors, and a parking display part. A central control system(400) generates an illumination control signal and confirms the parking position of a parked vehicle.
