The assembly (10) has a retractable working platform (30) to be placed on a seabed, and a guide tube (40) rotatably supported on the working platform. A drill pipe (45) with a drill head (50) is axially guided in the guide tube on the working platform, and a guide pipe driver (36) introduces the guide tube into the seabed. A slider support is provided between an outer surface of the guide tube and the base material of the seabed for reducing friction during introduction of the guide tube into the seabed. An independent claim is also included for a method for creating a borehole in a seabed with a subsea drilling assembly.
