APPARATUS FOR COLOR DISCRIMINATION IN VISIBLE LIGHT BAND AND PLASTIC CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM USING THEREOF

PURPOSE: An apparatus for a plastic discrimination in a visible light band and a plastic classification system using the same are provided to improve a system process speed by classifying plastics with specific color or material by using spectrum pattern information according to previously stored plastic color and material. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for a plastic discrimination in a visible light band(130) comprises an optical receiver(134), a plastic discrimination part(136), and an optical source part(132). An optical receiver receives reflection light reflected by plastic. A plastic discrimination part discriminates the material and color of the plastic through the light quantity pattern of received reflection light shown in a visible light band. An optical source part irradiates multiple lights having light quantity peak values in different wavelength bands in the visible light wavelength band to plastic. An optical part irradiates the multiple lights to the plastic by using multiple LED(Light Emitting Diode) light sources having light quantity peak values in the different wavelength bands. A plastic discrimination part includes a plastic information storage part storing light quantity pattern information for each color according to a plastic material or light quantity pattern information for each plastic color in the different wavelength band.
