PURPOSE: A device for supplying duplexed high voltage DC power and a method thereof are provided to improve the reliability of power supply by duplexing an AC power supply device, an AC/DC rectifier, and a power distributor and including a preliminary generator and a preliminary storage battery. CONSTITUTION: A device for supplying high voltage DC power includes a duplexed external AC power supply device(100~10n), a duplexed AC/DC rectifier(200~20n), and a duplexed power distributor. The external AC power supply device is duplexed with N:1(N is a natural number). A power transmission route composed of the AC/DC rectifier and the power distributor is duplexed with N:1. A preliminary generator is duplexed with N:1. A preliminary storage battery is commonly used for the power transmission route composed of the AC/DC rectifier and the power distributor.
