The device (8) has a conveying belt (12) whose ends comprise deflection rollers (14, 15). One of the deflection rollers is driven by a motor (16). A magnet is provided below an upper branch (17) of a circulating belt (18) of the conveying belt. Individual layers of a multilayer strip material (2) are firmly held together in one position by the magnet, where the strip material is made of an amorphous material. A decoiler (3) is tipped with a coil (4). The decoiler is coupled with scissors or a cutter for cutting the strip material into metal sheets for manufacturing transformer cores. METALLURGY - The magnet is made of neodymium iron boron compound. |
