PURPOSE: A noise reduction apparatus is provided to effectively reduce noise transferred to a residential area by reducing noise generated from automobiles using a first noise reduction unit of a median strip and a second noise reduction unit of a soundproof wall. CONSTITUTION: A noise reduction apparatus(1000) includes a first noise reduction unit(100), being installed in a median strip(20) on road, reducing noise generated by automobiles and a second reduction unit(200), being prepared in the upper part of a soundproof wall(40) being installed between a road and a residential area(30), reducing noise being not blocked by the soundproof wall and transferred to the residential area. The first noise reduction unit includes a first housing, a first speaker, a first microphone, a second microphone and a first signal processing unit. The first housing has openings in the both sides facing the road. The first speaker radiates interference sound canceling by interfering with generated noise from a noise source. The first microphone generates a noise signal by detecting inflowing noise. The second microphone generates an error signal corresponding to the remaining sound interfered between the noise generated by the noise source and the radiated interference sound. The first signal processing unit generates an interference signal corresponding to the interference sound based on the noise signal and error signal and provides to the first speaker.
