FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention describes a method for prediction of the complicated clinical course in the patients with community-acquired pneumonia involving measuring blood serum procalcitonin (PCT, ng/ml), tumour necrosis factor-? (TNF-? pg/ml), deriving total score according to the CURB-65 scale and solving a discriminant equation: D=+13.258*PCT+2.824*TNF-?+2.225*point of the CURB-65 scale, and if the D value is more than 46.10, developing complications in the patients with community-acquired pneumonia is predicted.EFFECT: invention provides higher effectiveness of prediction in the patients with community-acquired pneumonia by the integral assessment of the biochemical inflammation markers and the CURB-65 scale points.2 ex |
