The air treatment device (10) has an air activation device which is provided in an air treatment chamber. The air treatment chamber is partially covered with the filter elements (12). The filter element is provided with a filter material such as activated carbon. The filter material is made of mineral adsorbent such as sheet silicate group, alumina, bentonite, halloysite or smectite. An independent claim is included for fume extractor.
