Method and read/write device for an assembly with a number of contactless readable transponders

The method involves repeatedly detecting two of wirelessly readable transponders (TR1-TR4) in a recognition phase. Identification numbers, and features e.g. received signal strange indications, time stamps, transmitted powers, and antennas, are registered during detection. The features are statistically evaluated in an evaluation phase. Statistical variables are determined. The determined variables are filtered based on filter criteria. The numbers of one of the transponders meeting the criteria as the detected transponder are reported to an industrial control device e.g. personal computer.
