PURPOSE: A separator for a fuel cell is provided to increase an area while reducing a thickness, to improve mechanical strength, and to improve thermal conductivity by a mesh which is formed in the separator. CONSTITUTION: A separator for a fuel cell comprises a carbon composite and a mesh which is formed by being inserted in the carbon composite. The separator additionally comprises a metal foil which is formed on one side or the other side of the carbon composite by being compressed. A manufacturing method of the separator comprises: a step of forming a carbon composite and mesh(S101,S103); and a step of locating the carbon composite in the upper part and the lower part of the mesh, and forming a separator by a compression molding.
