PURPOSE: A solar cell with an efficiency improving structure and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve the efficiency of a thin film solar cell by a surface Plasmon resonance phenomenon through reaction with a metal oxide layer. CONSTITUTION: A transparent electrode layer(120) is formed on the surface of a transparent substrate(110). A metal oxide layer(130) is formed on the surface of the transparent electrode layer. The metal oxide layer is made of materials with a positive dielectric function. Noble metal of a nano dot is discretely distributed on the surface of the metal oxide layer and has a negative dielectric function which shows a surface Plasmon phenomenon.
