PURPOSE: A topography restoration method of avalanche of earth and rocks generation area is provided to restore topography before generation of avalanche of earth and rocks by application of a Gaussian mixing model. CONSTITUTION: An avalanche generation area is detected from a DEM(Digital Elevation Model) by a LIDAR(Light Detection And Ranging)(S11). A transverse section of the detected avalanche of earth and rocks is extracted(S12). Approximation data about the transverse section of the detected avalanche of earth and rocks is calculated by application of a Gaussian mixing model(S13). A topography of the avalanche generation area is restored by application of the calculated approximation data(S14).
