摘要 1339482 Structural elements; building frameworks SYMA INTERCONTINENTAL AG 27 July 1971 [19 Aug 1970] 35151/71 Heading E1K A construction kit comprising a pillar and a horizontal girder connectable to the pillar, the pillar being of multi-sided hollow section, each side being provided with at least two apertures 10, and the sides being corrugated such as to provide alternate ribs and grooves each of trapezoidal section, the ribs being formed with fins extending outwardly from them as shown to partially cover the bases of the grooves, and fin formations of arrowhead form being provided at the corners of the pillar, and the girder having a web and flanges at right angles to the web, longitudinal grooves in opposed faces of the flanges providing guides for displaceable suspension plates having hooklike formations engageable in the apertures 10 of the pillar, and means for adjustably securing the suspension plates to the girder. The pillar is preferably of square cross-section and four apertures 10 are provided in each side. The fins and fin formations preferably have a thickness less than half that of the wall thickness of the pillar. Each girder is of U section having a web 12, thickened portions 13 and inwardly turned flange edge portions to provide the upper and lower grooves for the reception of sliding suspension plates 17 hook-like formations of which engage the apertures 10. The plates 17 are adjustably secured by bolts in a desired position relative to the beam. As shown, beading may be provided on the external faces of the beam flanges to receive a decorative moulding or other fittings. A modified suspension plate 17, Fig. 14, includes hooklike formations 18 having a wedging surface 18a and further includes a locking pin 33 slidable longitudinally between a retracted position and a projected position where it may be locked by a screw 34. Screws 30 rotatable in lugs 31 engage tapped bores in the edge of plate 17 remote from the pillar for yoking the beam into close contact with the pillar 'after inserting hook formations 18 in the apertures 10. In a building structure formed by a number of pillars and beams (Figs. 6-13, not shown), additional beams are each suspended between opposed beams of the structure by a T-shaped connector plate 42, Fig. 21, which slides in the upper and lower grooves 16, 15 of a main beam 11 and in similar grooves 50, 51 of an additional beam 23a, sliding locking plates 45 being used to retain the connector plate 42 in the grooves 15, 16 of beam 11 whilst allowing ready disconnection therefrom, and a screw 54 being passed through a lug 53 on the beam 23a into a tapped bore 55 in projecting web 49 of the connector plate 42 for yoking the beam 23a into close contact with the beam 11. Instead of T-shaped connector plates, L shaped connector plates (35, Fig. 20, not shown) may be used which are similar to half of a connector plate 42 except that the yoking arrangement between the projecting web and the additional beam is omitted, bolt holes being provided in the projecting web for direct connection to the additional beam.
