STEREOSCOPIC IMAGE DISPLAY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: A three dimensional display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to extend view angles by preventing the occurrence of three dimensional crosstalk by forming a total reflection pattern within a substrate. CONSTITUTION: An upper polarizing plate(11a) is attached to a color filter substrate of a display panel(10). A lower polarizing plate(11b) is attached to a thin film transistor array substrate. An optical transmission axis(r1) of the upper polarizing plate and an optical transmission axis(r2) of the lower polarizing plate are crossed. A first retarder(31) is formed on an odd number line of a pattern retarder(30). A second retarder is formed on an even number line. The odd number line of the display panel faces to the first retarder formed on the even number line of the pattern retarder. The odd number line of the display panel faces to the second retarder which is formed on the even number line of the pattern retarder.
