A system and a method for voice call conversion processing in a dual mode mobile communication network are provided to perform voice call connection through call processing by voice call setup after automatically performing conversion from a 1x EV-DO communication service mode into a 1x mobile communication service mode, thereby providing a smoother call processing service between communication subscribers under environment in which 1x and 1x EV-DO services coexist. If a receiving terminal of the other party is recognized as a non-video terminal supporting no video call, a video mobile communication terminal(10) performs a voice call with the non image terminal through voice call setup after performing conversion from a 1x EV-DO service mode into a 1x service mode. If it is determined that the receiving party of the other party is the non-video terminal supporting no video call, a 1x EV-DO communication network system notifies the determination result to the video mobile communication terminal. If the image mobile communication terminal attempts the voice call setup through the service mode conversion, a 1x mobile communication network system processes the call so as to set the voice call with the non-video terminal of the other party. The 1x EV-DO communication network system comprises a 1x EV-DO BTS(Base Transceiver Station), a 1x EV-DO BSC(Base Station Controller)(14,30), a PCF(Packet Control Function)(16,32), a PDSN(Packet Data Serving Node)(18), and an SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) proxy server(20). The 1x mobile communication network system comprises a 1x BTS, a 1x BSC and an MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(26). |
