PURPOSE: A biomarker for diagnosing pork back fat thickness is provided to accurately measure genetic ability and to grow excellent breeding pigs. CONSTITUTION: An SNP biomarker for determining pork back fat thickness contains one or more among sequences of sequence numbers 1-40. A method for selecting the SNP biomarker comprises: a step of determining SNPs relating to the pork back fat thickness; a step of testing correlation with QTL(quantitative trait loci); and a step of analyzing the characteristic of pork based on the result. A diagnosis kit for determining breeding pigs contains the SNP biomarkers. |
