ROOF SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE

PURPOSE: A roof system for a vehicle is provided to ensure the smooth movement of a cam between opening and closing slot parts by using a lamp part when the cam is moving to the downward closing slot part from the downward opening slot part. CONSTITUTION: A roof system for a vehicle comprises a closing part and a fixed guide rail(13). The closing part opens a roof opening and a closing position which closes the roof opening. The closing part moves within an open area which partly located on an adjacent roof part. The closing part is movable between a closing position, which closes the closing position, and an opening position. The opening position opens the closing position or is at least partially positioned on an adjacent roof part. The fixed guide rail guides a driving unit which operates the closing part in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle the fixed guide rail is positioned at the side of the roof opening in the longitudinal direction. The driving mechanism comprises a first device(6), a second device(5), and a guide slide. The first device includes a lever(16) for moving the rear edge of the closing part. The second device includes a lever(7) for vertically moving the front edge of the closing part. The guide slide is slidably accommodated in each guide rail.
