PURPOSE: A washing machine is provided to prevent the door of the washing machine from being opened without any manipulation during an operation of the washing machine. CONSTITUTION: A gear(5) is rotated by a motor(3). The gear is installed in a housing(1). A locking unit(10) slides when the gear rotates. The locking unit is coupled with the gear. If the locking unit protrudes from the housing by sliding, the locking unit locks the door of a washing machine. A sensing unit(30) senses a sliding level of the locking unit to control the motor. |
