PURPOSE: A cover for a main runner of a blast furnace is provided to improve cooling efficiency by forming corrugations in a connecting plate to enlarge the contact area of the connecting plate with coolant. CONSTITUTION: A cover for a main runner of a blast furnace comprises an upper cover part, refractory, and a spray unit(30). The upper cover part has an internal space(1a). The refractory is installed under the upper cover part. The spray unit is installed in the internal space of the upper cover part and sprays coolant into the upper cover part. A plurality of corrugations(12a) are formed in a specific direction in the upper cover part. The spray unit sprays coolant to the corrugations inside the upper cover part to cool the upper cover part while reducing the time that the coolant remains in the upper cover unit. |
