PURPOSE: A sludge treating apparatus is provided to control pressures in a sludge drier by adjusting the amount of external air introduced into the sludge drier. CONSTITUTION: A sludge treating apparatus includes a sludge drier(10), a storing silo(20), and a discharging fan(30). The storing silo stores dried sludge from the sludge drier. The discharging fan collects scattered dust generated at the time when the dried sludge is discharged from the storing silo. The scattered dust is introduced into the sludge drier. The discharging fan blows the scattered dust with a first carrier gas. The first carrier gas is introduced into the sludge direr with a second carrier gas which is introduced from the external side of the apparatus.
