PURPOSE: A terminal device including a DRM(Digital Rights Management) decoding function and a DRM decoding method in the terminal device are provided to play DRM media content data in the terminal device including an operating system without an exclusive DRM decoding module by installing a local web server module in the terminal device. CONSTITUTION: A local file memory(156) of a native unit(150) stores DRM media content data. An application program(152) of the native unit operates a media device player(154) by using an operating system. A DRM decoding unit(160) reads the data from the local file memory by using a URL(Uniform Resource Locator) path for a web server according to a data play request of the application program. After the data is decoded, the DRM decoding unit provides the data to the media device player.
