The invention relates to Method and System for the accelerated feeding of a reactivity--influencing medium, in particular a neutron-absorbing medium, to a heavy-water--moderated reactor (5), in particular a pressurised water reactor, comprising at least one storage tank (3) for storing the neutron-absorbing medium and at least one feed line (7) for connecting the reactor (5) and/or moderator tank and the storage tank (3) in a medium-routing and/or flowing manner, wherein an explosion-triggered or explosion-driven valve (6, 10), a so-called squib valve, is disposed in the feed line (7) between the storage tank (3) and the reactor (5) and/or moderator tank, said valve being able to effect a rapid and efficient initiation of the feeding of the neutron-absorbing medium, in particular of the rapid feeding of boron, to the reactor (5) and/or moderator tank. |
