PURPOSE: A composition containing a crude drug extract is provided to effectively prevent or treat impotence. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing or treating impotence contains 100 parts by weight of Ginseng Radix Rubra, 30-100 parts by weight of Cornus officinalis Sieb. Et Zucc, 50-130 parts by weight of Dioscorea tenuipes, 50-130 parts by weight of Lycium chinense Mill, 3-20 parts by weight of Curcuma longa Linn, and 100-150 parts by weight of honey. A functional food for preventing impotence contains Ginseng Radix Rubra, Cornus officinalis Sieb. Et Zucc, Dioscorea tenuipes, Lycium chinense Mill, Curcuma longa Linn, and honey as active ingredients. The functional food also contains sitologically acceptable food additives.
