The system (100) has an implant (110) with an elongated body between distal and proximal ends. A suture includes two end strands (176a, 176b) connected by a central part (161). A fixing device (180) is connected to the implant and the suture. The central part of the suture forms a proximal arc (162) in the fastening device, and a distal arc (172) cooperating with the implant, where stress (T178) exerted in a proximal direction (D2) on one of the end strands brings the proximal and distal arcs close to each other, and brings the fixing device and the implant close to each other. An independent claim is also included for a method for preparing a pre-operative suture implant system.
