Tank insulation - for low temp with bolt attachment fixed to tank wall by adhesive

System for attaching the insulation, esp. of foamed platics, to the wall (13) of a tank in a marine liquefied gas tanker, the plate (18) into which can be screwed a plastics bolt (20) is attached to the wall (13) by a low temperature adhesive layer (23). A nut (21) and washer (22) hold in the outermost, possibly the only, layer (14) of insulation. Skilled labour is not required, and there is no risk of damaging the tank wall, as there is with welding. Adhesive: silicone; bolt: acrylic; insulation: rigid polyurethane foamed in situ.
