TRITIUM REMOVING DEVICE OF LITHIUM LOOP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove tritium safely from a lithium loop forming a lithium target flow without diffusing the tritium into the atmosphere.

SOLUTION: A tritium removing device of lithium loop comprises: a neutron source 1 generating neutrons by making a proton beam collide against a lithium flow; a lithium tank 11 into which the lithium passed through the neutron source 1 is made to flow and to be stored therein temporarily; and a lithium pump 17 which returns the lithium in the lithium tank 11 to the neutron source 1 through a fluid channel 9' on the supply side and supplies the lithium. The lithium tank 11 where hydrogen gas containing tritium gathers easily and the lithium pump 17 are sealed in an enclosed vessel 7 containing an inert gas, and even if the hydrogen gas containing tritium leaks to the enclosed vessel 7, it is removed by means of a hydrogen isotope removing filter.
