Heat-reflecting paint consists of metal particles, which are highly reflecting for rays of 3-20 mu wavelength and of a binder with very low absorption for 3-20 mu spectral range, and opt. solvents. Insulation against heat-transmission. Ease of application to uneven articles. The binder is a lacquer based on coumarone styrene and acrylonitrile. The metal particles are aluminium. (1) 25 wt. pts. Al powder are homogenised in 75 wt. pts. coumarone resin soln. consisting of 1:1 wt. pts. coumarone resin is mixture of xylene, toluene and solvent naphtha. Paint for indoor use is obtd.
