<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound excellent in solubility to an organic solvent, and useful as a dye used in a color filter of a display such as a liquid crystal display. <P>SOLUTION: The compound is represented by formula (I) wherein R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>is a hydrogen atom or a 1-20C monovalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group, and -CH<SB POS="POST">2</SB>- contained in the aliphatic hydrocarbon group may be replaced by -O- or -CO-; R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>is a hydrogen atom, a cyano group or a carbamoyl group; R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>is a 1-4C alkyl group, and a hydrogen atom contained in the alkyl group may be replaced by a halogen atom; and A is a phenyl group having at least one halogen atom and at least one -SO<SB POS="POST">3</SB>M, and M is a hydrogen atom or an alkaline metal atom. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
