<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing indium hydroxide or a compound including indium hydroxide by an electrolytic process. <P>SOLUTION: The method of producing indium hydroxide or a compound including indium hydroxide includes: carrying out an electrolytic process in an electrolytic solution of electric conductivity of at least 10 mS/cm using an anode comprised of indium; precipitating the indium hydroxide or the compound including indium hydroxide into the electrolytic solution; and subsequently washing the precipitated indium hydroxide or the compound including indium hydroxide to the extent of reducing the electric conductivity of the electrolytic solution to 1 mS/cm or lower.
