摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bubble monitoring apparatus and a discharge system for discharged used seawater that permit stable and continuous monitoring of bubbles accompanying used seawater discharged into a drainage channel. <P>SOLUTION: A bubble monitoring apparatus 13 for discharged used seawater has measuring units 15a and 15b that are disposed on the path of a drainage channel 12 for draining discharged used seawater 11 into the sea 20 and the sea surface and receive reflections of light rays irradiating the discharged seawater 11 and the sea 20, a sensor 16 that detects luminous energies of the light rays received by the measuring units 15a and 15b, an optical fiber 17 that transmits the light rays received by the measuring units 15a and 15b to the sensor 16, supporting members 18 for supporting the measuring units 15a and 15b on the drainage channel 12 and the sea surface, and a control unit 19 that figures out whether or not bubbles 23 are floating on the discharged seawater 11 from the result of comparison of the luminous energies received by the measuring units 15a and 15b.
